2012: news from Netmage
In 2012 there will be a transformation in the Netmage festival, which is now a decade old.
Xing has decided to venture into creating a new format that will be the result of the fusion of the experiences of the two festivals: Netmage - International Live Media Festival and F.I.S.Co. - Festival Internazionale sullo Spettacolo Contemporaneo.
The new project was born out of the intent to intensify a course that is a weave between disciplines and forms of expression, and cohabitation between artists and audiences from different backgrounds, giving concreteness to the many ways of sharing a cultural space focused on liveliness.
The live media, which Netmage has investigated in recent years, concentrates on the broader category of live arts, understood as a heterogeneous set of practices that revolve around the presence, the performance dimension and the perceptual experience of sounds and visions, including temporality, postures and the imaginary.
The new event will take place in Bologna, from April 24 to 29, 2012, and will develop over the course of a week in different locations and settings.
Because the event will deal with redefining a prototype, this year there will not be a call for submissions, but we still invite those artists who wish to propose their own projects to send them to the following addresses:
