DME Award 2011 now open for entries!
The only award dedicated to the management of design, the DME Award, is now open for its fifth edition. Previous winners of the DME Award including Zelmer (Poland), Virgin Atlantic (UK), Trespa (Netherlands), Festo (Germany) and Roca (Spain) all represent highly innovative organisations where design plays an integral part of their operation. This year the award ceremony will take place in Tallinn, Estonia.
After four successful editions, the Design Management Europe Award will celebrate its first lustrum this year! Companies and organisations from all European countries are challenged to apply for a DME Award. Eesti Disainerite Liit (Estonian Design House), the organisers and hosts of this year's award, are preparing for a festive award ceremony celebrating DME's jubilee. The DME Award ceremony will be a key event of the 2011 Innovation Festival of Tallinn.
Award procedures
Winning a DME Award means being recognised by an international jury of design management experts assessing against criteria of leadership, innovation, co-ordination and results. Companies and organisations can apply for the DME Award by submitting a digital poster via the DME website, illustrating how design is integrated into their organisation and processes to achieve strategic gains. Categories for the award cover all businesses and organisations; from micro companies to multi-nationals, service and manufacturing sectors, public agencies and non profit organisations.
Detailed information on how to apply for the DME Award will be available on the DME website soon. Managers from companies and organisations interested in applying can contact one of the many DME agents located around Europe or can register directly via the DME website.
